Hanging out at home

Here is Jaxon brushing his hair and coloring. I think he eats more crayons than he uses, but he enjoys it!

Page changes

Hello! I figured it was time to change this blog, so it reflects the change to our family. Little Bradyn will be here before we know it. I have developed PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension) so Bradyn will probably come early. My doctor is hoping to keep the little man in utero as long as possible. Her plans are to induce anywhere between the 10th & 20th of December. In the meantime, she has ordered lots of tests, and I am being monitored VERY closely. I have non-stress tests (where they monitor the baby's heartbeat for 20 minutes) twice a week, an ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday, and weekly appts. So far, so good. I am unable to work, and am supposed to take it easy all the time, which means no work, no housework and no major shopping trips. Sound like fun?--NO WAY! It is driving me crazy already. But it will be worth it when I deliver a healthy Bradyn. I do look forward to that! I am also very excited for Christmas. Having my second son is the only present I need! What a special time of year to have a baby! I will update if there are any changes, and of course when the little guy arrives!

Jack-O-Lantern

We carved Jaxon's pumpkin tonight! He thought it was great--all except for digging out the seeds & slime. He didn't like that too much! We are waiting for Daddy to come home, and then we will light it up--I can't wait to see his face when it is lit! He will LOVE it!

Painting with applesauce

Jaxon decided to have a little fun with his applesauce today, and painted his hair and everything else on his highchair!! I enjoyed my lunch tubside today!

Remembering Grandpa Clarence & Grandma Katie

Jaxon's Great-Grandparents were incredible people, and will be missed so much! It has barely been a month since we lost Grandpa Clarence, and now a little over a month later, we have had to say Goodbye to Grandma Katie! Jaxon loved to go visit them, and it is so sad that he won't even remember his time with them! We honor them & are thankful that they were a part of our lives!

Asleep at Last

Jaxon absolutely refused to go to bed tonight. We tried everything, from letting him cry in his crib, to rocking and even laying with him in bed. Nothing worked, so we finally gave up and put in the movie we wanted to watch. Jaxon made it to the ball pit, and crashed--he is sooooo funny!

Hollyn Jessica

This is my new niece, and I think she is the cutest! I may be a bit biased, but I am also right!

It's Harvest Time!

Wheat harvest started yesterday, and Jaxon and I spent a couple of hours in the combine with Brady. Jaxon really seemed to enjoy it! He likes to steer the combine, and would prefer to be able to do it all by himself! We are trying to locate an old steering wheel, so we can weld it to a long pipe and metal plate, so Jaxon has his very own steering wheel for the tractor and combine. I think if he could steer, we could put him in his car seat on the buddy seat, and he would probably ride all afternoon!

Long Time, No Post!

Jaxon & I went to Wyoming for a week! We had a lot of fun
and are looking forward to planning another trip. My Mom kept Jaxon very busy, and he had the time of his life! We spent time with family friends, and lots of time outside. On the way home, we stopped at Cabela's, and Jaxon had to drive a golfcart. He also enjoyed driving the Coca Cola car at Walmart!

Jaxon's Birthday Party

Today was Jaxon's party, and he had a blast! He enjoyed all of his guests, and wanted to spend a little time with everybody. He is very outgoing, and went to everybody who talked to him. He made a huge mess with his cake, and when we washed him off in the cold water, he had a blast. He cried when I took him away from the water! He got lots of fun presents, and is at home playing with them now! Everytime he sees his giant Shrek doll, he gives him lots of kisses. His new basketball and soccer ball are a hit too. He loves to turn on the new racetrack he got, and has been mowing the carpet too!

Mega Block Man

Grandma Judy gave Jaxon this wagon full of Mega Blocks as an early birthday present! He loves to empty and re-fill the wagon, and of course drag mega blocks all over the living room. It was a great choice for him, and he spends many hours playing with the blocks! He also likes to hand us blocks so we can build with them. What fun!! Thanks Grandma Judy!

Love the Bunny!

Jaxon really enjoyed eating his Chocolate Bunny from his Easter basket! Luckily he only ate one ear, and drooled all over the rest of it!

Cheesing Baby!

Yesterday I put up a make-shift backdrop to practice taking Jaxon's picture. I know the backdrop is pretty bad, but that isn't why I am sharing these! It was obvious to me right away that I get Jaxon's picture taken way too often. As soon as I sat him on the backdrop, he started cheesing at me. He knew exactly what to do--isn't that funny! He is too cute!

Easter Fun!

Jaxon didn't understand much about Easter, but he figured out what the chocolate eggs were really quickly!! He even ate a couple with the foil still on them! We had a lot of fun with him, and it will only get better!

On the Go!

Jaxon got this little push toy yesterday, and has been pushing it from one end of the house to the other. When he reaches a wall, he hollers until I turn it around. He would push it all day, if I didn't distract him once in a while! He is getting so big! What an adorable little guy!

Playplace @ the Mall

We had a lot of fun playing at the mall the other day! We did some grocery shopping, and then had lunch with Grandma Leanna (Brady's Mom) and Great-Grandma & Great Grandpa Becker(Leanna's parents)! I am able to do lots more fun stuff with Jaxon now that he is getting a little bigger! We rode the carousel today, and he LOVED it, too!

Strolling

Jaxon loves to be outside, so we have been strolling around the yard almost everyday! It works great, because he gets to be outside without having the opportunity to eat dirt, and I get some exercise!

First Playdate at Home

Jaxon had his first playdate at home last week. Cody came for the afternoon and they played really well together. Can you believe that Cody is 2 weeks younger than Jaxon?!
